Samantha Milles brings to New West a wealth of expertise following more than a decade working at the federal, provincial and municipal levels of government. Since 2010, Samantha has actively contributed to the political landscape in Ottawa, Alberta and Edmonton, shaping policies and driving positive change both on campaigns and in office.

She has held positions including serving as a legislative assistant for the Chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance, the first director of communications for the United Conservative Party Caucus and as a senior stakeholder relations advisor for Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis. Her extensive knowledge of the intricacies of government operations and legislative processes has allowed her to navigate complex issues to get results.

Holding diverse positions in the offices of elected officials and in the public service has allowed Samantha to hone her communications, media relations, issues management and stakeholder relations skills. Her strategic insights and exceptional communication skills have made her a trusted advisor to government officials and senior executives, helping them effectively convey their messages to a wide range of audiences. Samantha's ability to distill complex information into clear and compelling narratives has been instrumental in shaping public opinion and building consensus around important issues. Samantha’s career has also allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the regulatory framework for gaming, liquor and cannabis, enabling her to advocate for the interests of clients in these fields.

Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Alberta, and lives with her husband and daughter in Edmonton.
