New West Public Affairs welcomes Gord Olsen as Strategic Advisor

Veteran government relations strategist joins growing team at New West

Long-time government relations expert and Alberta political strategist, Gord Olsen, has joined New West Public Affairs as a strategic advisor.

For the last 18 years, Olsen led GOA Inc. as President and provided expert advice to a range of clients across western Canada, Ottawa and in Quebec. These included technology, aerospace and natural resources companies and some of Alberta’s leading industry and professional associations. Prior to GOA Inc., Olsen headed up the Alberta government’s federal-provincial relations office in Ottawa from 1993-1996 and served as the Executive Director of the Premier’s Southern Alberta Office in Calgary from 1996-2003 under Ralph Klein.

Olsen’s addition brings extensive government relations experience to New West and further cements the firm as the market leader in public affairs, government relations and strategic communications services in Alberta.
