Emily is a results oriented public affairs professional with experience navigating and implementing solutions for complex, high profile issues within government while working amongst diverse stakeholders and communities. 

Prior to joining New West Public Affairs, Emily served in a variety of roles with the Government of Alberta and the House of Commons.

Most recently, Emily worked as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Deputy Premier and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Services of Alberta. She also held the positions of Executive Assistant to Premier Danielle Smith, Press Secretary to the Minister of Education, Communications Advisor to Premier Jason Kenney, and in the office of the Shadow Minister of Economic Recovery in Ottawa.

Emily brings experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement, oversight of government budgets and management of ministry funding, as well as strategic communications.

Born outside Montreal and raised in a rural farming community in Alberta, Emily now resides in British Columbia. Emily received her Bachelor of Secondary Education from the University of Alberta.
