Drawing on 8 years of experience as a non-profit professional in the arts sector, Elsha Yeyesuswork brings unique, results-driven expertise to New West Public Affairs as a Consultant, Operations & Client Servicing.   

Previously, Elsha served as Research & Program Development Lead at M:ST Performative Art Society and Community Programs Director at Downstage Theatre. Most recently, Elsha worked as Editor-in-Chief of the arts and culture publication ISSAY! Magazine where she saw readership expand across five continents. When she’s not at New West, Elsha is the Assistant Editor of the Canadian Journal of Ethnic Studies, a Project MUSE publication from the Johns Hopkins University Press. 

Elsha holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Calgary. A committed volunteer, she has served in leadership positions at Artists for Refugee Resettlement, the University of Calgary Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition, and BeTheChange YYC, an outreach service delivering life-saving aid to unhoused people. 

From community-focused civic engagement to artistic expression, these diverse experiences inform Elsha’s work as a creative, values-driven problem solver.
