Tristan brings diverse experience navigating political scenes, developing public policy solutions, directing strategic communications, and influencing decision makers to New West.
Prior to joining our team, Tristan served as the Executive Director of a large membership-based non-profit association in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In this capacity he researched challenges, created policy solutions, advocated to the provincial government, and commented on post secondary issues in the media. His accomplishments include the creation and funding of a province-wide university mental health strategy, reforms to financial aid, and improvements to youth employment programs.
Tristan studied Political Science at the University of Calgary and is an experienced advocate, researcher, and communicator. Extensively involved in campus life during his studies, he was elected Vice-President External of the Students Union, served as President of a Political Club, and held leadership roles in his Fraternity.
Raised in Calgary, Tristan enjoys spending time in the mountains and exploring local craft breweries.
