Prior to joining New West, Tristan completed a successful 2-year term as the Executive Director of a large membership-based non-profit association in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In this capacity he researched challenges, created policy solutions, advocated to the provincial government, and commented on post secondary issues in the media. His accomplishments include the creation and funding of a province-wide university mental health strategy, reforms to financial aid, and improvements to youth employment programs.
Tristan is an experienced advocate, researcher, and communicator. While studying Political Science at the University of Calgary, he was extensively involved in campus life. He was elected Vice-President External of the Students Union, served as president of a political club, and held leadership roles in his Fraternity.
A Calgary native, Tristan brings diverse experience navigating political scenes, developing public policy solutions, directing strategic communications, and influencing decision makers.
